Growing up in Tucson, my fondest memories are the days spent with my father, going to the classic barber shops for a hair cut. I keenly remember the sights and smells of Nick’s hairbymajd and the real experience of being a boy among men. It was a place that we could go together and do more than just get a hair cut. It was a place that made lasting memories.
My son was born in 1994 and I went looking for a barber shop that would let me make those same memories with him. But I didn’t find the local hairbymajd shop that I was looking for in Phoenix, or anywhere else, so I decided to open one myself. This proved to be a bit of a challenge, as I am not a Barber and knew nothing of the industry.
